| Microsoft BizTalk Server Microsoft BizTalk Server is an integration engine that enables rapid development of automated business processes. BizTalk Server knows how to connect to many different systems; provides mechanisms for ensuring message delivery; has built-in security and encryption; and includes tools for data mapping and transformation. Using Microsoft BizTalk Server enables us to implement solutions quickly; while still providing a high degree of reliability and security. Additionally, BizTalk Server supports user-configurable Business Rules – so you can easily adapt the behavior of the solution as your business needs change. Finally, you can use Business Activity Monitoring to analyze the efficiency of your business processes and find further opportunities to improve the business. Microsoft SharePoint Technologies Windows SharePoint Services (or WSS) is environment designed to support collaboration across the business, with particular emphasis on sharing and managing documents; activities; tasks and calendars. WSS can even collect data through forms and manage document workflows. Best of all, if you have a Windows Server (or Small Business Server) then you already have a license for WSS. Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (or MOSS) adds significantly to the basic WSS functionality providing such features are Enterprise Search; Content Management; Dashboards and KPIs. MOSS can even reach into your ERP system (such as SAP or Dynamics GP) and find & display ERP transactions. Microsoft SQL Server Microsoft SQL Server is a fully functional, scalable Relational Database Management system, which is at the heart of many commercially available (and custom) software applications. At Avatar, we can work with many different database platforms, but Microsoft SQL Server has been the database of choice for most of our customers. Visual Studio and the Microsoft .NET Framework Microsoft Visual Studio is a powerful development environment that enables our engineers to write code in C#, Visual Basic and other languages. The Microsoft .NET Framework provides those same engineers with a massive library of prebuilt objects to help developers with everything from building an interactive web page to sending an email message, or connecting to a database. |
